Escargots

There's a wooden fence that runs behind our bus stop. On a drizly morning, the wall turns into a snail hot spot. Snails of all sizes from gumball to super ball size come here to enjoy the wet weather. Last time I didn't have my camera but Adrien and I counted over 40 snails on the fence and the bush that runs along it. This time I snapped a few photos before the bus came. We pay special attention to the sidewalks on these types of mornings. In our area of France snails highly out nmber the eath worms on rainy days.

  1. When I was visiting Erica in Delaware, I went to the Delaware Natural History Museum. Which has was of the worlds largest mollusk collections in the world. When you go out to visit her (I saw when, since I assume you will) you might want to check it out, it was a good half day activity.
